SHOP & TELL: Delivery from FarFetch
While the splendid global fashion hub that is FarFetch.com has been on our radar for some time now, what you’re seeing here is our very first purchase from the online ‘community’. And just to be clear, we were NOT disappointed.
As the name suggests, FarFetch acts as a virtual store front / marketplace that fetches luxe and contemporary fashion from independent boutiques all over the world, and organises to have it delivered straight to your door. It’s a one-stop shop for an enviable network of fashion stores and an incredibly simple process – you shop, place your order and pay on the FarFetch website and then your purchases are delivered directly from the boutique to you. It doesn’t matter how many items you buy, or from how many different boutiques, you make one transaction and the rest is all taken care of.
These go-anywhere nude pumps from Alexander Wang took just three business days to arrive by DHL from New York to Sydney. And to top it off they were packaged beautifully, with a ribbon and a hand written note from the boutique, Edon Manor.
We received update emails throughout the whole process so we felt well serviced and in the unlikely case these pumps weren’t a hit, we could’ve returned them for free using the FarFetch collection service!
